Servtec /SBM is recruiting for its client, candidates for Construction Project Manager positions based in Cabo Delgado (Palma).
Responsibilities
· Overall project management from start to completion
· Define and document project scope, objectives and desired outcomes.
· Create detailed schedules, project parameters, and budget expectations.
· Coordinate and lead planning sessions for project development and execution.
· Prepare a budget based on project scope.
· Set and adhere to budgetary allocation.
· Ensure project delivery is on time, as per scope and within the allocated budget.
· Create and manage contracts with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely deliveries.
· Create and maintain detailed key project documentation.
· Manage staffing and other resource needs to maximize potential for successful execution of projects.
· Provide project updates to stakeholders as per demand and requirement.
· Perform regular assessment of project execution to identify areas for improvement;
· Undertake risk management to minimize potential risks.
· Compile project risk mitigation plan.
· Set and manage stakeholder expectations, both internally and externally.
· Delegate project activities and duties in accordance with team members’ strengths and experience.
· Track project performance periodically to ensure both short-term and long-term goals are met and any deviations are addressed immediately.
· Manage interdepartmental coordination to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements
· Degree in Civil Engineering/Project Management or equivalent.
· Fluency in Portuguese and English.
· Minimum of 10 years working in construction projects.
· Track record of managing large-scale, complex construction projects.
· In-depth knowledge of project management techniques, including use of software such as MS Project, Primavera P6 or similar.
· Understanding of building codes, regulations and safety standards
· Excellent communication and leadership skills.
· Ability to solve problems effectively and make decisions under pressure.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
