Moamba Area – Mozambique: Our client is looking for a Ginger Farm Development & Plant Breeder to join the team.
Due to the remote location of the farm, this position would suit a mature couple or a couple with children who are home schooled or who go to boarding school.
Minimum Requirements
Farm Development
- Min Agricultural diploma and/or 4 years’ experience in ginger or vegetable farming.
- Previous project management experience.
- Proven Irrigation Management & Technical Installation experience (micro irrigation).
- Proven Chemical & Fertilizer application experience.
- Computer literate essential (Excell).
- Excellent record keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Maintenance and mechanically orientated.
- Valid drivers license.
- Valid Passport.
Grower
- Degree/qualification in Horticulture, Science, Plant Genetics or related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience in evaluating fruit trees and fruit.
- A strong background in genetics is essential.
- Ability to problem solve and conduct cause analysis.
- Computer literate.
- Strong record keeping skills.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Valid passport.
